Women for Peace - Iris Brosch
Es war letztes Jahr ein grosses visuellen Spektakel, die Performance «Women For Peace – No Peace without Women» der berühmten Pariser Fotokünstlerin IRIS BROSCH. Ein visuelles Manifest für Frieden, das von der antiken Mythologie inspiriert ist und über 90 (!) Frauen aus unterschiedlichsten Kulturen inkludiert. An der diesjährigen photoSCHWEIZ zeigt Iris Brosch nun das fotografische Resultat der Performance im Rahmen einer spektakulär inszenierten Sonderausstellung. Das Thema ist aktueller denn je.

Madonna of Peace Cross A 7-meter-long cross composed of 10 anodized aluminum prints (100 × 65 cm each), printed recto-verso using DATA printALU technology by Mantel / Artecal. Front (Modern Side): Madonnas envisioned in space and the future. Back (Historical Side): Madonnas inspired by past traditions, reflecting the historical iconography of the sacred feminine. This work bridges past and future, sacred and contemporary, exploring the timeless presence of feminine divinity through the figure of the Madonna.
