Alexander Martínez Ich wurde am 23. August 1977 auf der Insel Isla de la Juventud in Kuba geboren. Als professioneller Leichtathlet, der für die Schweiz im Dreisprung antrat, fand ich nach Beendigung meiner Sportkarriere ein Gleichgewicht in der Fotografie als künstlerischem Ausdruck, der mir die Freiheit der visuellen Neugierde ermöglichte. Liebe und Leidenschaft sind in meiner Arbeit sehr offensichtlich. Die Liebe zum Detail, der Einsatz von Licht und die Emotionalität der Models, die ich fotografiere, schaffen etwas, das visuell und mental anregend ist. Meine Inspiration sind die Menschen. Gemeinsam tolle Bilder zu machen, egal ob es sich um ein Schwarz-Weiß-Porträt, eine Schwangerschaft, eine Hochzeit oder ein aufwendiges Projekt mit Stylistin handelt, ich liebe die Vielseitigkeit des Fotografierens von Menschen. Aber auch in Orten, Gegenständen, aber vor allem in Licht und Emotionen. Ich hoffe, dass ich all diese Gefühle durch meine Bilder mit euch teilen kann. Liebe Grüsse Alex

The images I present here are a combination of three different projects: "PRIMAVERA, OTOÑO Y ROSTROS" "OTOÑO" Have been created on a foggy autumn day somewhere between my curiosity but not so far from you. Autumn sights stir the soul, but delight mingles with melancholy. Mist, fog and frost; but so much more. The model has a peculiar personality of its own that is powerfully appealing. "PRIMAVERA" Because the human body is the best work of art, the most beautiful complexity. If we could free ourselves from our perceived limitations, body images and prejudices, and tap into our inner fire, our possibilities are endless. "ROSTROS" A photograph without emotion is dead. One of the key ways to create emotion in your photos is to create some sort of empathy with the subject. Empathy can show joy and happiness, love and compassion, but also pain, fear and frustration.
