Andy grew up in Poland and Germany and has been living in Zurich since 2009. Photography has accompanied him since the late 1990s. It is his quiet way to express himself and to show how he sees the world. His style combines storytelling, atmosphere, and subtle intensity.

This series tells of a long period of loneliness that took hold of me in recent years in Zurich. The city became quiet and I with it. Sometimes weeks passed without any contact to others without words without joy. I walked and photographed the edges of the city that are often overlooked just as I felt at that time. Photography became a close friend and a steady presence in the silence. In these quiet places I felt less alone for a moment.
