Caroline Nijs was born and raised in Belgium. After a 9-year stint in the USA, she moved to Switzerland in 2021. Always an avid photographer, she turned her passion for photography and horses into work. On one hand, she creates beautiful artwork portraying the connection between human and horse. On the other, her abstract work leaves the viewer in thought as they reflect on the detail of her art. Caroline will often uncover beauty where others see commonplaceness.

Up close and personal All sizes and shapes are starting to be more and more accepted by society. Yet on an individual level, I find it easier said than done. Meanwhile, I am very aware that I only felt confident enough to do this after losing quite some weight. Nevertheless, I hope it can inspire us all to look closely at our bodies and start liking them.
