My name is Feline Skowronek: young, female photographer/artist. I was born and raised in Munich. Now my birthplace became my workspace. I went to an art school and reached an a-level graduation. Photography is following me around since I am a little kid. Both of my parents have been artists and always encouraged me to do what I want and appreciate beauty and aesthetics. I´ve developed a huge interest for architecture and cars and how the light or people around buildings or vehicles behave.

None if these things exist naturally, they say, or that people destroy the beauty of nature. That might be true, but why should we try to blend ourselves out. I think as an artist in the 21st century it´s important to showcase our world how it is and that humans made it to what it is today. The United Arabic Emirates are perfect for that. Oil, money, cars, high architecture, desert and palm trees. The spirit of profit, aesthetic and speed. An orange truck on his way to the next building site. An employee cleaning the race track in Abu Dhabi. A fake car junkyard at the MAD EXIT rest station in Dubai. SUVs parking in Sharjah. Two women walking through the not so shiny part of the UAE. These moments are beautiful because they´re real and clear. Trying to save the face is something that we should stop, it is self-made trouble and makes us sick.
