I look around and capture the glimpses of life that strike my eye. First I fall in love with the world then I fall in love with the memory of it. I am hugely drawn to us, as human beings, and how we act in collectives, especially in specific circumstances or gatherings. I mostly shoot in tourist hot spots. It`s the work that allows me to engage with the world and the people within it and it is the closest I get to maybe understand myself. It is incredibly interesting to frame reality and to preserve the isolated fragments.

Dornröschenschlaf Von der anfänglichen Surrealität des Äusseren übermannt, vergrub ich mich in die Sensation einer Selbstisolation. Das offizielle Rennen gegen die Zeit begann im Stillstehen. Ein Raunen von Brutalität lang in der Ungewissheit eines sonnenen Tages. Alles wurde langsamer Lethargie tanzte im Takt von kontinuierlichem Geschrei nach Selbstverwirklichung und Produktivität Irgendwann, wandelte sich, in das Echo von Normalität, der Nachhall einer Möglichkeit Angst - Hoffnung. Beides ist weder neu, noch gegangen. Der Respekt vor der Fragilität eines Lebens wuchs Ein Überdenken von was wir wertschätzen & wo wir es finden Im gewobenen Blumenbeet alltäglicher Schwerkraft fiel ein Schleier von Pollenregen

" WE ARE HAPPY " This series was shot in Zürich at the Streetparade, near to my hometown, on August 10th, 2019. It`a wonderful sparkle of joy, abuse, lust, and waste. There is an occurring sense of violence, like there is everywhere, where masses of people collapse together. But most of all: there is love. First of all: love about ourselves - about expressing ourselves. And there is a huge amount of love for others. Even for a day, no matter if driven by sweet liqueur of life, or overwhelmed with the smell of a devil's breath. It is an escape chosen and captured. It's about our urges and needs and the celebration of freedom. It`s about finding and losing. It`s about overtaking the spotlight and giving a fuck. Most of the time: we are happy.
