Irène Hänni ist frei schaffende Künstlerin Richtung Fotografie und Neue Medien. Sie stellt ihre Arbeiten seit 1995 regelmässig in offiziellen Ausstellungsräumen und Museen in der Schweiz und Europa aus. Ihre Werke wurden mehrfach mit Projektbeiträgen der öffentlichen Hand sowie von Firmen mitfinanziert. Irène Hänni gehört zu den Gewinner:innen eines Werkbeitrages des Kantons Schwyz im Jahr 2023. Sie leitet den Kulturraum "Atelier R6" in Steinen, Schwyz und kuratiert dort jährlich mehrere Kunstausstellungen.

Im September 2023 wurde zum ersten Mal eine grössere Anzahl meiner installativen Bridges zum Thema Blüten und Pflanzen in einer Ausstellung im Kunsthaus Lachen gezeigt. Das sind Bahnen von 20, resp. 40, resp. 60 cm Breite und 2,5 m Länge, geplottet mit lichtechter Tinte auf Hahnemühle Photo Rag. For many years I have been taking pictures out of the windows of moving trains. A new iPhone enabled me to modify this somewhat old-fashioned but inspiring shooting situation by using a special group of apps. Manually changing the basic settings of the apps allows me to control the result in my own way. I look for the special image and the experimental character in my work is very important. I am still surprised by the results that become reality in some special moments. The main themes of my work have always been: rhythm, colour and aesthetics. Here I found an instrument to continue the language of multi-layered images. The new photos consist of many "film stills" that are combined in one picture.
