Sean Pressley is a Black American artist from the Southern US, living in Brooklyn, NY and photographing the black experience through portraiture. He's also a Director, and has shot and directed many short films and commercials.

The works that I've chosen are all representative of themes consistent with the black middle class, from domestic workers to civil servants. My work examines black middle America and it's multifaceted and highly diverse nature, presented through reference, homage, and intimacy.
