Hello! My name is Anggrek, I come from Moluccas, Indonesia. I am an autodidact analog photographer based in Zurich. I work both with 35mm and 120 film, develop the negatives in my bathroom, and later scan and edit the photographs digitally before send them to the lab for prints. These photographs were taken in Zermatt in January 2022. First of the roll is the photograph of Matterhorn between some branches and as we kept wandering following the track, we found this beautiful place where people would take a break from skiing and have lunch. And finally a photograph of Matterhorn with the sunlight on the tip of the mountain while the moon was still there.

The Pomegranate is believed to have originated in the area range from North East Turkey to Afghanistan, where it symbolizes fertility, beauty, and eternal life. Based on Old Testament, it is also a metaphor for the prosperity in the promised land. These Pomegranate were photographed glitchily to accentuate the digital attribute of modern technology; however, in a way to resemble old practice with the look and feeling of watercolor painting. Printed on 310 gsm Hahnemühle paper, dimension of 30 x 40 cm. Limited edition of 12.
