“Forgive me Mother – I have behaved” is an artistic exploration of the veneration of female icons alongside the simultaneous disregard for real women. Between sacred projection and lived reality, a tension emerges in which patriarchal structures become visible – and begin to dissolve. The work interrogates idealized femininity, the structural coldness behind it, and the quiet yet unstoppable force of resistance. It is an intergenerational exploration of mother and daughter.
