Moving home means leaving behind a private territory, a haven of intimacy. Once the boxes and furniture have been moved, what happens when we take the time to look back one last time on this seemingly empty home? When you no longer live there, but you're not yet in your new home, do you literally lose your footing?
I set out to meet people who are leaving their homes in my ongoing project Empty home, photographing and accompanying their last stay in their house. A first book has been published and contains on the series from 2022 to 2024 by Georg Publisher.
